Phase diagrams are reported for mixtures between bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide(TFSI-) salts containing Li+ and N-alkyl-N-methylpyrrolidinium (PYR1R+) cations. The lattersalts readily form both room temperature ionic liquids and plastic crystalline phases. Mixedsalt crystalline phases are found which are likely to influence the performance of such mixedsalt systems when utilized as electrolytes for electrochemical devices as well as give insightinto ionic liquid−solute interactions.
Phase diagrams are reported for mixed salt systems consisting of dialkylpyrrolidinium TFSI and LiTFSI salts. The former salts readily form plastic crystalline phases and room-temperature ionic liquids. Mixed salt crystalline phases are found to readily form which may influence the use of these materials for electrolyte applications.
