Magnetically separable nanozeolites were facilely fabricated through in situ incorporation of magnetite (Fe3O4) nanoparticles into polycrystalline zeolite nanoparticles during the hydrothermal synthesis procedure. The combination of the excellent surface properties of zeolites and the superparamagnetic property of magnetite nanoparticles would make this type of material a promising candidate for various bio-applications.
