Abstract	Mesoporous silica can be used as a nanoreactor for liquid−liquid biphase reaction without any phase transfer reagent and organic cosolvent. High conversions (up to 89%) are achieved with low catalyst loading. This is attributed to the amphiphilic mesochannels, which can provide suitable accommodations for both hydrophilic and hydrophobic molecules.
