Abstract
  • A novel C3 symmetric discotic hexa-peri-hexabenzocoronene with three alternating dodecyl and methoxy substituents was synthesized. The compound revealed pronounced self-aggregation in solution. The solution processing onto a substrate resulted in the formation of long fibrous nanostructures. Additionally, a complex helical superstructure in the solid state was derived from X-ray scattering results.
