| Abstract
| - The pyrolysis and gasification of tires was studied in apilot plant reactor provided with a system for condensationof semivolatile matter. The study comprises experimentsat 450, 750, and 1000 °C both in nitrogen and 10% oxygenatmospheres. Analysis of all the products obtained(gases, liquids, char, and soot) are presented. In the gasphase only methane and benzene yields increase withtemperature until 1000 °C. In the liquids the main componentsare styrene, limonene, and isoprene. The solid fraction(including soot) increases with temperature. Zinc contentof the char decreases with increasing temperature.
