Synthesis, Crystal Structure, and MagneticBehavior of (μ3-CO3)[Cu3(Medpt)3(ClO4)3](ClO4): A New Copper(II) Carbonato-Bridged Complexwith a Triangular Array
Several uncommon features are present in the(μ3-CO3)[Cu3(Medpt)3(ClO4)3](ClO4)complex: quasi-equilateral triangular arrangement of copper atoms;μ3 coordination of the carbonato bridge and ferromagneticbehavior. The title compound shows a gap of 18.9cm-1 between the S =3/2 ground state and the two degenerateS = 1/2 excited states.Magnetic trends for theanti−anti−anticoordination mode of the carbonato are discussed on the basis of MOsanalysis.
