Synthesis, Structure, and Magnetic Properties ofa Cyclic Dimer of Bis(hexafluoroacetylacetonato){1,3-bis(N-tert-butyl-N-oxylamino)-5-tert-butylbenzene}manganese(II)
The cyclic dimer 1 was obtained bythe reaction of the diradical1,3-bis(N-tert-butyl-N-oxylamino)-5-tert-butylbenzenewith Mn(hfac)2. A spin transition occurs in1 on cooling due to ferromagnetic coupling via the bidentatediradical ligand. The temperature dependence of the magneticproperties can be interpreted quantitatively in the frame of the HDvVformalism.
