Abstract
Hydrolysis of the complex [1,3-C6H4(OPPh2AuSPh)2] gives the emissive, neutral tetragold(I) complex [{Au2(μ-SPh)(PPh2O)(PPh2OH)}2], which is associated through pairs of gold···gold interactions and P−O−H···O−P hydrogen bonds.
