An Inorganic Application of Transient DirectCurrent Photoconductivity: Corroboration of aCharge-Transfer Assignment for the LuminescingStates of Pt(dpphen)(ecda)1
Transient direct current photoconductivity measurements were performed on solutions of Pt(dpphen)(ecda) in order to identify the nature of its luminescing states. The measurements reveal that the states are charge transfer in nature and that at high concentrations a reversible dimerization, or possibly higher-order aggregation, takes place in the ground state.
