Abstract
| - Among five pigments detected in bambara groundnut (Vignasubterranea), three major anthocyaninswere isolated by combined column chromatography on Amberlite XAD-7,Sephadex LH-20, and RP-18 silica gel and by preparative thin-layer chromatography on silicagel. They were identified asdelphinidin 3-O-β-glucoside, petunidin3-O-β-glucoside, and malvidin 3-O-β-glucosideon the basisof chromatographic data and UV−vis, 1H-NMR, and massspectrometry.
