Abstract
| - Densities, refractive indices, speeds of sound, excess molar volumes (VE), and deviations in molarrefractions (ΔR) and isentropic compressibilities (Δκs) were determined for the system 1-butanol +methanol + 2-methoxy-2-methylpropane at 298.15 K and atmospheric pressure. The values of VE, ΔR,and Δκs were satisfactorily correlated by the Redlich−Kister polynomial. These values were also predictedusing several empirical equations from the values of their constituent binary subsystems, and the bestresults were obtained with the Kohler and the Radojkovic equations.
