Abstract	The reaction of ferrocene with β-ketoesters in thepresence of BF3·Et2O or CF3SO3H affords β-ferrocenyl-α,β-unsaturated esters in 56−83% yield. In the case of α-unsubstituted-β-ketoesters the reaction is totally E-stereoselective.
