Abstract
[5]- and [6]helicenes were synthesized in moderate to goodyields from Z,Z-bis(bromostilbene)s by palladium-catalyzeddouble C−H arylation reaction. This method can be appliedto the syntheses of helicenes possessing electron-deficientsubstituents.
