Abstract	Trace amounts of water in eluents for normal-phase chiralHPLC can affect peak retention time, tailing, and resolution.Adventitious water can cause irreproducible analyses. Deliberate addition of water to the eluent can improve peakresolution and save analysis time and solvent needs.
