Abstract
| - An efficient synthesis of α,β-unsaturated imines derived fromα-aminophosphonates is achieved through aza-Wittig reaction of P-trimethyl phosphazenes with β,γ-unsaturated α-ketophosphonates. Selective 1,2-reduction of such 1-azadienesaffords β,γ-unsaturated α-aminophosphonates, phosphorylated analogs of vinylglycines, which are hydrogenated toyield saturated α-aminophosphonate derivatives.
