A chiral tripod−terpyridine ligand is known to coordinate with Ag+. These complexes self-assemble intochiral aggregates at room temperature. Molecular dynamic simulation reveals the cooperation of tripodalligand structures with Ag(I) cations, which leads to the formation of helical aggregations, thus the chirality.
