Abstract
  • Treatment of RuTp(dmso)2Cl with an excessof HC⋮CR (R = Ph, C6H9, COOMe, n-Hex) and allylalcohol in toluene at reflux affords the (allyloxy)carbenecomplexes RuTp(C(CH2R)OCH2CHCH2)Cl in goodyields. With R = C7H15, in addition to the carbenecomplex, also RuTp(η3(O,C,C)-H2CCHCH2COC7H15)Cl and the free ketone 4-dodec-1-enone could be isolated.In the case of R = SiMe3, RuTp(COD)Cl instead ofRuTp(dmso)2Cl had to be used as the starting materialso as to obtain the corresponding (allyloxy)carbene.Representative X-ray structures are reported.
