| Abstract
| - A new series of dinuclear platinum(II) complexes, [Pt2(μ-dppm)(dppm-P,P‘)(μ-CCRPPh2CH2PPh2-P)(C⋮CR)]2+ (R = alkyl), has been synthesized, and thestructure of one of the complexes was confirmed by X-raycrystallography. A proposed mechanism to account fortheir formation from the corresponding alkynyl precursors is suggested. Their luminescence properties are alsoreported.
