Abstract
| - Organosilanylene−thienylene alternating oligomers bearing ether side chains were synthesized, andtheir optical properties were studied. The oligomersexhibited clear solvatochromic shifts in the fluorescencemaxima, probably due to the changes in the oligomerconformations, and the emission maxima moved tolonger wavelength as the solvent polarity increased.
