Abstract
| - The incomplete cubane-type sulfido−hydrosulfido core Ir3(μ3-S)(μ2-SH)3 can be converted into systems containing a single-cubane (Ir3Sb(μ3-S)4), a corner-shared double-cubane ({Ir3(μ3-S)4}2Bi), or a cuboidal (Ir3Pd(μ3-S)3(μ2-SH)) core.
- The incomplete cubane-type sulfido−hydrosulfido cluster [(Cp*Ir)3(μ3-S)(μ2-SH)3]Cl reacts withSbCln (n = 5, 3), BiCl3/NEt3, and Pd(PPh3)4 to give theheterobimetallic sulfido clusters [(Cp*Ir)3SbCl3(μ3-S)4],[{(Cp*Ir)3(μ3-S)4}2Bi]Cl, and [(Cp*Ir)3PdCl(PPh3)(μ3-S)3(μ2-SH)], having a single-cubane-type core, a corner-shared double-cubane-type core, and a cuboidal core,respectively.
