| Abstract
| - Cet article interroge les inégalités sociales face à l’environnement, à travers les capacités des acteurs à se mobiliser autour des dispositifs d’énergies renouvelables dans le cadre de la transition énergétique. Il s’appuie sur des enquêtes de terrain, qualitatives et quantitatives, à l’échelle urbaine, conduites de 2012 à 2015 au sein de l’aire métropolitaine de Strasbourg. Nous montrons que le registre de l’implication habitante, mis en avant, masque des « éco-innovations » relevant davantage de prescriptions ; et qu’à partir des rapports différenciés des habitants aux instruments techniques censés matérialiser les énergies renouvelables, des inégalités écologiques renforcent les lignes de partage socio-économiques dans la ville.
- Energy transition and urban ecological inequalities. This paper deals with social inequalities in the relationship to the environment, by looking at the capacity of actors to mobilize around renewable energy initiatives in the context of the energy transition. It is based on field surveys (qualitative and quantitative) on an urban scale, conducted between 2012 and 2015 in the metropolitan area of Strasbourg. We show that the emphasis on resident involvement masks the reality of rather prescriptive “eco-innovations”; and that the differentiated relations of the inhabitants to the technical tools meant to materialize renewable energy reveal ecological inequalities that reinforce socio-economic division in the city.
