| Abstract
| - A century of German political history: commemorating Liebknecht and Luxemburg at the Zentralfriedhof Friedrichsfelde in Berlin. Rosa Luxemburg’s and Karl Liebknecht’s funerals in 1919 were the starting point of a long series of commemorative mobilisations which cross different German historical and political periods. This commemoration, which is centered around the Friedrichsfelde cemetery, has difficulties existing during the Weimarer Republic ; it is then narrowed to individual and isolated actions during the Third Reich, and totally appropriated by the GDR government, before citizens reclaim it for themselves after the unification of Germany. This annual event both shows a great regularity in terms of date and location of the ceremony, and in the choice of Liebknecht and Luxemburg (as well as Lenin) as key actors in the action.

L’enterrement des deux spartakistes Rosa Luxemburg et Karl Liebknecht en 1919 est à l’origine d’une longue série de mobilisations commémoratives qui traversent l’histoire politique allemande. Cette commémoration, qui se tient essentiellement autour du cimetière de Friedrichsfelde, peine à exister pendant la République de Weimar, est ensuite réduite à des actions isolées sous le III e Reich, puis est totalement récupérée par le pouvoir au temps de la RDA, avant que les citoyens ne se la réapproprient après la chute du mur de Berlin en 1989. Cet événement annuel montre une forte permanence, quant à la date de sa tenue, au lieu de la cérémonie et au choix de Liebknecht et Luxemburg (et Lénine) comme personnages centraux de l’action.
