| - Douze ans après l’avènement de l’« ère nouvelle » en Tunisie, le pays offre une image paradoxale : un discours officiel qui se veut rénovateur et moderniste, auquel s’oppose une pratique politique de l’immobilisme et de la répression. Les dernières élections ont illustré de manière saisissante les difficultés de maintenir durablement un tel équilibre dans un contexte en mutation.
- Tunisia: The Illusion of Elections. Twelve years after the coming of the « new era » in Tunisia, this country hast taken up a paradoxical stance: official discourse which attempts to be reformist and modernist in the face of political practices of immobilism and represssion. The last elections illustrate quite flatly the difficulties of maintaining such an equilibrium in a context of transformation.
