| Abstract
| - This article questions the influence of Porn Studies on the hegemony of French scientific discourse in the field of the humanities and social sciences. It covers the way knowledge relating to pornography is organized by mapping the history of studies about this research subject in France. Borrowed from Michel Espagne and Michael Werner, the cultural transfer allows this study to demonstrate different social and academic consensuses on the revealing effects of pornography. Pornography has temporalities, contexts and essential definitions which are thwarted by some scientific controversies, indicative of new cultural phenomena, and which extend the paradigm of studies dedicated to pornography by defining axioms about its emerging uses.
- L’article interroge la domination des porn studies sur les discours scientifiques français relatifs à la pornographie. Il parcourt la façon dont s’organisent les savoirs sur la pornographie en procédant à l’analyse de l’émergence de cet objet en France. Empruntée à Michel Espagne et Michael Werner, la méthode du transfert culturel permet de déceler différents consensus sociaux et académiques sur les effets révélateurs de la pornographie. Celle-ci possède des temporalités, des contextes et des définitions déjouées par certaines controverses scientifiques significatives de phénomènes culturels nouveaux qui, en s’axiomatisant, élargissent le paradigme des études qui lui sont consacrées.
