Abstract
  • Disseminated microsporidian infection in patients with AIDS has been recently reported and is associated with the genus Encephalitozoon and the newly described genus Septata. We report a case of symptomatic, disseminated intestinal, urinary, nasal, and ocular microsporidian infection in a patient with AIDS. A dramatic response to therapy with albendazole was observed.
