Abstract
| - The incidence of cancer in Japan is predicted from the trend of age-specific incidence rates obtained by population-based cancer registries. The crude incidence rate for all cancer is increasing, and will reach 260.4 per 100,000 population in 1990 and 353.8 in 2000. In accordance with the increasing rate and the age of the population, the proportion of new patients aged 65 and above will be increasing rapidly.
