Abstract
  • It is important for Ghana to advance by using appropriate technologies. These may be imported foreign technologies but must be adapted to the Ghanaian socio-economic climate. Local, indigenous efforts must also be encouraged: this would lessen the effects of dramatic changes in the exchange rates on the world money market. Intermediate technology is considered to be the most appropriate, providing opportunities for training and education, and avoiding the problems of importing advanced technology which the labour force does not understand. Through appropriate technology will develop an appropriate economic system.
