Abstract
| - In James M. Tierney's article “A Pattern in the Planning Process of Welfare-to-Work Initiatives,” which appeared in the November 1991 issue of Social Work (Volume 36, Number 6), it was implied that Congressional Budget Office Director Robert Reischauer contends that the Family Support Act is no more than that stage of welfare-to-work initiatives laden with mandates and sanctions and only minimally financed, and that it is fashioned after a Wisconsin learnfare program. These contentions should be attributed to Tierney.
