Abstract	The recent publication of the Cumulative Index covering the first ten years of Abstracts for Social Workers offers workers the opportunity to trace professional trends by examining the occurrence in the literature of articles related to these trends. This article assesses the Index's potential as a data base for the study of social work concerns.
