Abstract	Abstract. 1. 1. A survey of the history of leprosy and its predisposing causes in this part of the Sudan has been made. 2. 2. The incidence of the disease as recorded for the past 15 years is discussed, together with the various methods of control that have been used. 3. 3. The effectiveness of this policy is discussed, with recommendation for the future.
