Abstract
  • Summary. A patient with generalized Hodgkin's disease who had radiographic evidence of benign peptic ulcer is reported. At autopsy an infiltration of Hodgkin's tumor was found that had an ulcerated surface. Review of 127 autopsies of patients having Hodgkin's disease revealed ulceration of the stomach in 9. Hence, the finding by X-ray of a “peptic ulcer” in a patient with generalized Hodgkin's disease should not be uncommon, and there is adequate experience indicating that such findings can be explained on the basis of Hodgkin's disease.
