Abstract
| - Summary. The rarity of the association of infantilism and Banti's syndrome is stressed by references to literature. li]2.|It is noted that infantilism could also occur in association with spleno-hepatomegaly due to several causes, such as cirrhosis of liver, acholuric familial jaundice, congenital syphilis, and certain tropical diseases such as malaria and bilharzia. Such an association probably represents the retardation of physical and sexual development due to chronic wasting diseases. li]3.|The present case displays signs and symptoms of Banti's syndrome but probably, chronic malaria, whooping cough and congenital syphilis have some bearing on the production of infantilism. li]4.|An attempt is made to clarify the description of Lorain-Levi type of Infantilism.
