| - Martin McKee qualified in medicine in Belfast and trained in internal medicine and subsequently public health. He has worked at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine since 1987, where he is now Professor of European Public Health. He manages a large research programme addressing the challenges to health and health services in central and eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union.
