Abstract
| - Single crystals of K2Te4O9·3.2H2O, KGaTe6O14, and KGaTe2O6·1.8H2O have been synthesized by supercritical hydrothermal methods using KOH, TeO2, and Ga2O3 as reagents.K2Te4O9·3.2H2O has a layered structure, whereas KGaTe6O14 and KGaTe2O6·1.8H2O havethree-dimensional frameworks. In addition, KGaTe2O6·1.8H2O has an unprecedented open-framework tellurite topology that permits the ion exchange of Li+ and Na+. In addition, theion-exchanged phases are highly crystalline. Crystal data: K2Te4O9·3.2H2O, triclinic, spacegroup P1 (No. 1), with a = 7.5046(5) Å, b = 10.7097(8) Å, c = 10.7159(8) Å, α = 60.849(1)°,β = 69.918(1)°, γ = 85.968(1)°, and Z = 2; KGaTe6O14, cubic, space group Pa-3 (No. 205),with a = 10.9267(3) Å and Z = 4; KGaTe2O6·1.8H2O, triclinic, P-1 (No. 2), with a = 8.8361(6)Å, b = 9.1648(6) Å, c = 9.9531(7) Å, α = 115.395(1)°, β = 93.973(1)°, γ = 116.011(1)°, andZ = 3.
